Real people, real conversations, real data

At MCM Research, we believe the best insights come from real human interactions. We don’t deny the value of online research — in fact, we use modern technology ourselves to support our processes, improve checks, and run projects efficiently.

But even with all the tech available, one thing remains irreplaceable: the in-person conversation. That’s where you find nuance, context, and reliability that online research doesn’t always provide. Online panels aren’t always representative, you can’t be sure who’s actually completing the survey, and answers aren’t always taken seriously.

That’s why we invest in face-to-face data collection. Our interviewers are out every day — on the street, at people’s homes, or in the field. They talk to real participants, see the situation, clarify questions when needed, and make sure every interview is carried out with care. That’s what makes our data human, trustworthy, and fully verifiable.

Quality over quantity

At MCM, it’s not about doing as many interviews as possible — it’s about doing them well. Our top interviewer isn’t the one with the highest number of surveys, but the one who:

  • visits many addresses and truly puts in the work;
  • conducts interviews neatly, completely, and with attention;
  • passes our quality checks with flying colors.

We also call back 10% of participants to confirm that the interview was carried out properly. That way, our clients know each data point is accurate.

Recently, we personally thanked a couple of our interviewers with a small gift. Not only because of her excellent work, but also because we value meeting our team in person. Moments like these remind us what MCM is all about: data collected by real people, in real situations.
