Privacy policy

Introduction

This privacy statement tells you everything about how your personal data is collected and how Mobiel Centre handles it. It explains where your data is stored and for what purposes. You will also read about your rights concerning your data and how you can make use of them. This privacy statement will occasionally be amended due to, for example, changes in legislation.

1.1. Company description

Mobile Centre Market Research B.V. (hereinafter referred to as MCM) facilitates market research. For example, we recruit respondents to participate in research on location(s) to online research. However, telephone research, street interviews, in-home research and postal/written research are also part of our services. We specialise in data collection and processing. Consumers can register in the Mobile Panel to take part in taste and product tests at our Test Centres for which they often receive compensation.

1.2. Hallmarks

MCM is a member of the MarktOnderzoekAssociatie (MOA) and adheres to the MOA Fairdata and ESOMAR code of conduct. In addition, we hold ISO certificate 20252:2019.

Purpose data

Personal data is collected by MCM for a number of purposes. These are explained below.

2.1. Personal data of clients

  • MCM makes contact (by email and phone) during project execution. This contact is used to consult and send status updates on the project.
  • MCM contacts (by mail and phone) to maintain a relationship with its clients.
  • MCM sends out newsletters. These newsletters are commercial on the one hand and knowledge-sharing on the other.
  • MCM uses the financial data of the company the contact works for to enable invoicing at the end of a project.

2.2. Personal data of respondents

  • By entering personal data on the website mobielpanel.nl (part of MCM), you consent to this personal data being stored in our panel database. Furthermore, you grant permission for this data to be processed anonymously with parties to ensure the quality and effectiveness of market research. This data will not serve any other purpose than to ensure the quality and effectiveness of market research for the clients.
  • By providing personal data via a paper or computer-based questionnaire (tablet, laptop or telephone), you give permission for this personal data to be stored in the research software. Furthermore, you grant permission for these data to be processed anonymously with parties to ensure the quality and effectiveness of market research. These data will not serve any other purpose than to guarantee the quality and effectiveness of market research for the clients.
  • You can expect invitations to participate in market research by email, phone or text message
  • Participants in market research through MCM agree to the terms and conditions as stated on mobilepanel.nl

2.3. Personal data of job applicants

  • MCM collects and processes applicant data (required and optional) directly or through forms and/or attached CVs via the Indeed site, indeed.nl or the internal vacancies on www.mcm-research.com.

2.4. Personal data of employees

  • MCM verzamelt en verwerkt gegevens van medewerkers voor allerhande human resource activiteiten zoals salarisverwerking, verzuim, verzekeringen en de Belastingdienst.

2.5. Personal data general

  • MCM’s website collects your data to improve the website. This is done with the help of Google Analytics
  • This data is anonymous and therefore not linked to your personal data. Think of information such as the duration of your website visit or the pages you visit a lot.

Data recipients

Personal data is collected by MCM for a number of purposes. These are processed by the companies listed below.

3.1. Personal data recipients and clients

  • Project status and invoicing is performed by a system built by MCM and Nebu. This system is hosted internally at MCM.
  • The newsletters are sent via a CMS system. This is hosted by XS-4ALL.

3.2. Recipients personal data respondents

  • Sending recruitment mail, managing project data and managing personal data panel members is carried out by Nebu software.
  • SMS messages via KPN.
  • The answers you provide in our questionnaires are treated with strict confidentiality and integrity and processed completely anonymously with or without the use of analysis techniques. Your cooperation in research is always voluntary. Reports to clients are always anonymous and not traceable to individuals. Traceable data such as name or e-mail address are never made available to our clients or third parties without your consent. You are hereby informed which personal data will be provided to which client for which purposes. In some cases, MCM must ask your permission to collect specific data or to include your identifiable data in a report. You can revoke this consent, however there is no retroactive effect.

MCM collects and processes applicant data (required and optional) directly or through forms and/or attached CVs via Indeed and via the website www.mcm-research.com

3.4. Recipients personal data employees

MCM collects and processes employee data at the following companies: Meeuwsen ten Hoopen, payroll software.

Collection of reference works

4.1. Obtaining reference materials for clients

If required, clients can receive reference material as video, photo and audio recordings of research carried out at our Test Centres or other locations (such as in home). This is always sent securely and is stored for a maximum of 1 month. After this period, it is no longer possible to obtain the reference work..

4.2. Participation in market research by respondents

When participating in the study, video or audio recordings may be made at our Test Centres or other locations. In addition, the interview may be recorded in minutes or on paper. By participating in market research, you acknowledge that your personal data collected as part of the relevant project will be processed solely by our client for the purpose of completing the project.

4.3. Storage period

Your data will be retained by MCM for a longer period of time, but never longer than necessary to carry out activities, unless we are required to retain your data for longer under a legal regulation.

Rights

5.1. Right of inspection

You have the right to request your data recorded and stored at MCM at any time. You can do so by sending an e-mail or contacting MCM by telephone. You will then receive an overview of your data.

5.2. Right of rectification

Are your details incorrect? Or has your data changed? You have the right to have this rectified by MCM. You can change your panel details via the website www.mobielpanel.nl.

5.3. Right to file a complaint

If you have any questions regarding MCM’s handling of personal data or if you have a complaint, please contact MCM directly at Markerkant 14 1 in Almere, info@mcm-research.com or by phone at +31 (0)36 53 14 604. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Personal Data Authority.

5.4. Right to stop data use (objection)

Do you not want MCM to use your data? Then you have the right to stop the use of your personal data. Exercising these rights can be done via info@mcm-research.com by sending a copy of proof of identity in which the passport photo, the numbers at the bottom of the passport, document number and BSN have been made illegible. We aim to respond within one week.

Mandatory data

6.1. Mandatory data principals

  • Contact details such as e-mail and phone number.
  • Company data such as visiting address and financial data for invoicing.

6.2. Personal data of respondents

  • Contact details such as e-mail address and phone number.
  • Personal data needed for selection and research process such as place of residence, age, occupation, family composition.
  • Personal data needed for specific market research such as service or product usage.
    Personal data needed to transfer an incentive (fee) to a respondent’s account.

6.3. Personal data of job applicants

Applicant data stored in the database are: applicant’s contact details (name and address, email address, gender, language), applicant’s education (education, courses, etc.), employment history (past employers, references, etc.).

6.4.Personal data of employees

  • Contact details such as e-mail address and telephone number.
    Financial data for payment of salary.
    Basic administration details such as place of residence and family composition.
