Who are we

We are, as our name suggests, a market research firm. But what exactly is market research?

Market research is, among other things, finding out what people think about products or services, but also what people think about something. Where do people agree or disagree with the goal of product improvement, adjusting policy, monitoring quality or understanding public opinion.

There are many ways to conduct market research. On the market research page you can see what we do.

We were founded in 1984 and since the early years MCM Research has always tried to develop itself technologically. That makes, for example, that we were the first agency to use the iPad to interview people on the street face-to-face. A more recent example of our innovations is CAVI. Here, instead of face-to-face at respondents’ homes, for example, we conduct remote interviews with respondents using video calling. In 2020, we were the first agency in the Netherlands to conduct 1,000 CAVI interviews in four weeks. For this, more than a hundred interviewers were trained and deployed across the country. Proof that we continue to innovate in the world of face to face fieldwork and data collection. Ultimately with only one goal: to provide our clients with the best data and insights. To achieve this we want to bring back the personal approach and involvement in market research.

With approximately one million personal contacts per year, you can rightly say, “We are the most personal market research agency in the Benelux.”

MCM Research the face-to-face data collection specialist

MCM has its own test locations in the Netherlands. These test locations have all the facilities to make your research a success.
Whether it concerns a self-completion for a population survey or a taste test in which products have to be prepared and tasted.

We also have our own location at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol where we conduct all face to face market research for the airport. From our office in Leuven, a local team and additional interviewing corps carry out the face to face data collection in Belgium.

In addition to face to face fieldwork, MCM Research also offers support services allowing us to organize the entire data collection in-house. This ranges from questionnaire programming, coding and data entry to data processing. MCM Research also has its own CATI infrastructure for telephone research, quality control and hybrid research methods. We have been able to achieve this market position thanks to hard work but equally by keeping a clear vision of who we are and what we stand for.

We are an independent agency that aims to provide solutions for all parties looking for face to face data collection. We opt for a sustainable and transparent collaboration with our partners. We are the permanent partner of Kantar, but also carry out assignments for GfK, Ipsos, Marketresponse, Motivaction, DataSynergy, Haystack and numerous other research agencies. But we also perform data collection directly for end customers. For example, we have been the regular fieldwork partner of Schiphol Airport for many years.
